Week 10: Measurement & Skimmers

This week we will be fine tuning our measurement skills by creating skimmers! In this activity you will create a skimmer that will slide across the floor with ease if your measurements are accurate and your workmanship is exceptional. 
 Objectives:

Students will...
  • ​Identify and use a deliberate design process for generating ideas, testing theories, creating innovative artifacts or solving authentic problems.
  • Precisely measure to the eighth using a ruler.
  • Use precise measurement to create a paper skimmer.
