Week 13: Virtual Field Trip & Sketching Practice

Welcome back! This week we will be going on a virtual field trip, yay! You will investigate the themes of air, land, water, and waste as they explore how they can do their part to improve the environment as well as how a large company like Boeing is doing its part, too.

At home, you will be practicing your isometric sketches!
Objectives:

Students will...​​
  • Perform research to understand how individuals, communities, and companies can positively affect the environment
  • Compare and contrast the individual and collective power of climate change action​
  • Draw and interpret visual representations of objects.
  • When designing products, move fluidly among real-world, isometric, and multiview sketches.
  • Communicate information using engineering drawings and measurement conventions.

Activities:
In Class Day 1:
  • WATCH THE VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS LINKED HERE
  • Complete the Virtual Field Trip Video
  • Complete the 'During Activity' Worksheet
In Class Day 2:
  • Isometric Sketching Practice
At Home Day 1:
  • Using the Image to the Right, I Would Like You to Sketch the Images You See on Your Isometric Graph Paper. If You Do Not Have Your Graph Paper With You, You May Use the Isometric Drawing Tool Linked to the Right. If ​Using this Tool, Make Sure to Take Screenshots of All Shapes.
  • Complete Sketches A-F
At Home Day 2: 
  • Continue to Practice Sketching Using the Image to the Right
  • Complete Sketches G-L

Due By Friday:
  • Sketches A-G Completed (Will be Checked in Class)
  • Complete the 'During Activity' Worksheet
